    Norwalk City Hall moving to limited staff and services amidst COVID-19 pandemic
    Changes become effective Monday, March 16 through at least Friday, March 27, 2020

    Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, Norwalk City Hall will operate with limited staff and scaled-back services amidst the growing COVID-19 novel coronavirus outbreak. Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling made the decision today, Thursday, March 12, 2020, in order to protect the health and safety of the public and City staff, while maintaining core government functions. A majority of Board and Commission meetings over the next two weeks will also be canceled, or moved to teleconference.

    City: First Case of COVID-19 in Stamford Followed All Precautionary Measures
    On March 10th a Stamford resident who returned from international travel was preemptively isolated at Stamford Hospital. On the late evening of March 11th the resident tested positive for COVID-19 (commonly referred to as “the coronavirus”). This is the first reported case of COVID-19 among Stamford residents. This infection was not contracted in the United States or Stamford.

    North Salem, NY - Tickets are now available to purchase online for Saturday and Sunday's most prestigious competitions during the 2019 American Gold Cup, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, which will be hosted at the historic Old Salem Farm from Sept. 11-15.

    Celebrating its 49th year, the American Gold Cup is one of the United States' most popular horse shows, with elite show jumping complemented by boutique shopping, family activities and elegant hospitality amidst a beautiful backdrop.

    Saturday and Sunday tickets for the 2019 American Gold Cup are $20 per adult and $15 per senior (65+) and military members. Children 12 and under are free.

    Family entertainment begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, including pony rides, kids crafts, face painting and shopping on Boutique Row. On Saturday, The School of Rock will perform and Sunday will showcase an IHSA and IEA fair featuring local colleges and riding programs. Vendors will feature custom riding apparel, antiques, jewelry, pet accessories, home accents and much more!

    The featured event, the coveted $210,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ - New York CSI4*-W, will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15, while Saturday, Sept. 14 will highlight the $35,000 Hermès Sellier Cup and the $71,200 Fidelity Investments® Classic CSI4* on the Grand Prix Field.

    Show jumping fans and enthusiasts will also have the chance to meet a select few of the friendly and inspiring grand prix athletes at an autograph signing on the Grand Prix Field following Sunday's awards ceremony.

    Prior to the weekend's highlight events, competition is free to attend and open to the public Wednesday through Friday. With incredible sport, shopping and family fun, the American Gold Cup is a can't-miss event for equestrians and non-equestrians alike.

    For those who might enjoy the experience of the American Gold Cup in especially grand style, VIP tables are available for booking in the beautiful Taylor Harris Club. High-top tables of four or six and tables of eight are available for reservation, and there is no better way to experience the excitement of elite show jumping action.
