Lamont provides update on CT's coronavirus response efforts
As the State of Connecticut continues to respond to the global spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Governor Ned Lamont provided the following updates to the residents of Connecticut as of 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020:

    Norwalk City Hall moving to limited staff and services amidst COVID-19 pandemic
    Changes become effective Monday, March 16 through at least Friday, March 27, 2020

    Beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, Norwalk City Hall will operate with limited staff and scaled-back services amidst the growing COVID-19 novel coronavirus outbreak. Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling made the decision today, Thursday, March 12, 2020, in order to protect the health and safety of the public and City staff, while maintaining core government functions. A majority of Board and Commission meetings over the next two weeks will also be canceled, or moved to teleconference.

    Wilton Library’s drive thru window keeps people rolling
    Given the Town of Wilton’s current health advisories, Wilton Library will remain closed through Sunday, March 15. During this time, library custodial staff will perform systematic deep cleaning of all surfaces using CDC recommended guidelines.     On March 10th a Stamford resident who returned from international travel was preemptively isolated at Stamford Hospital. On the late evening of March 11th the resident tested positive for COVID-19 (commonly referred to as “the coronavirus”). This is the first reported case of COVID-19 among Stamford residents. This infection was not contracted in the United States or Stamford.
